Browsing Ideas
Filter, review, and manage ideas generated by the Content Scout.
Browsing Ideas
The Ideas page is your central hub for everything the Content Scout discovers. Every idea across all your publications lands here, and you have full control over how you filter, sort, and manage them.
Getting to the Ideas page
Click Ideas in the sidebar to open the Ideas page. If the Scout has found new ideas since your last visit, you will see a notification badge on the sidebar icon letting you know there are fresh ideas to review.
Filtering by publication
By default, the Ideas page shows ideas from all your publications combined, sorted by newest first. To narrow the view down to a single publication, use the publication dropdown at the top of the page. Select a specific publication to see only ideas generated for that publication’s topics.
Filtering by status
Below the publication dropdown, you will find a row of status filter buttons. Use these to focus on ideas at a particular stage:
- All — Shows every idea regardless of status.
- New — Ideas the Scout just generated that you haven’t looked at yet.
- Reviewed — Ideas you have marked as reviewed but haven’t promoted or dismissed.
- Promoted — Ideas you have promoted into writing sessions.
- Dismissed — Ideas you have decided to skip.
Reading idea cards
Each idea appears as a card with the following information at a glance:
- Title — The proposed headline for the post.
- Angle preview — The first couple of lines of the idea’s unique angle, so you can quickly gauge whether it interests you.
- Status badge — A color-coded label showing the idea’s current status (New, Reviewed, Promoted, or Dismissed).
- Relevance score — A percentage indicating how closely the idea aligns with your topics.
- Source count — How many original sources the Scout referenced when generating this idea.
- Date — When the idea was created, shown as a relative timestamp (e.g., “2 hours ago”).
When viewing ideas from all publications, each card also displays the publication name so you can tell which blog it belongs to.
Quick actions
You don’t always need to open an idea to act on it. When you hover over an idea card, a Dismiss button appears on the right side. Click it to quickly remove the idea from your active pipeline without leaving the list. This is handy for clearing out ideas that clearly don’t fit.
The Dismiss button only appears on ideas that are in the “New” or “Reviewed” state — you can’t dismiss an idea that has already been promoted.
Opening an idea
Click any idea card to navigate to its full detail page, where you can read the complete summary, explore source links, and take further actions like promoting the idea to a writing session. See Idea Actions for details.
Auto-refresh
If the Content Scout finishes a run while you have the Ideas page open, the list automatically refreshes to include any newly generated ideas. You don’t need to manually reload the page — new ideas simply appear at the top of the list.
