Quick Start

Hot Metal is an AI-powered content platform that helps you create, manage, and publish blog posts with the help of AI. It discovers trending topics in your niche, generates content ideas, drafts posts through a conversational AI writing partner, and publishes finished pieces to your blog and social media channels — all from one place.

Create your account

To get started, head to the Hot Metal sign-up page and create an account. You can sign up with your email address, or use your existing Google or GitHub account for one-click registration.

Once you’ve signed up, you’ll land on the Dashboard — your home base for everything in Hot Metal.

Your first visit

If this is your first time signing in, the Dashboard will greet you by name and present the Getting Started checklist. This guided walkthrough takes you from zero to your first published post in six steps. We recommend following it in order — each step builds on the previous one.

The sidebar gives you access to every section of the platform:

  • Dashboard — Your home base. See your publications, latest ideas, and active writing sessions at a glance.
  • Publications — Create and manage your blogs. Each publication has its own topics, ideas, and published posts.
  • Ideas — Browse content ideas generated by the AI-powered Content Scout. Review, promote, or dismiss ideas as you see fit.
  • Writing — Start AI-assisted writing sessions where you collaborate with an AI partner to draft posts through conversation.
  • Styles — Define custom writing styles so the AI matches your voice, tone, and formatting preferences.
  • Settings — Manage your account, connected services, and subscription.
