Writing Sessions

Create and manage AI-assisted writing sessions.

Writing Sessions

A writing session is your workspace for creating a single blog post with the help of an AI writing partner. Each session pairs a conversational chat interface with a live draft editor, so you can go from a rough idea to a polished post without leaving the page.

Creating a session

To start a new session, click the New Session button on the Writing page. A dialog will appear with the following options:

  • Title (optional) — Give your session a name so you can find it later. If you leave this blank, it will appear as “Untitled session” in your list.
  • Publication — If you have more than one publication, choose which one this session is for. Linking a session to a publication automatically applies that publication’s writing style and settings. If you only have one publication, it is selected for you automatically.

Click Create and you’ll be taken straight into the workspace to start writing.

Sessions can also be created automatically when you promote an idea from the Content Scout or click Use on a writing style card. In both cases, the session is pre-configured with the relevant context.

The session list

The Writing page shows all of your sessions in a card grid. Each card displays:

  • Title — The name you gave the session, or “Untitled session” if you skipped it.
  • Status badge — Shows whether the session is Active, Completed, or Archived.
  • Last updated — A relative timestamp (e.g. “2 hours ago”) so you can see which sessions have recent activity.
  • Version indicator — If the session has at least one draft, a version number (e.g. “v3”) appears in the bottom-right corner of the card. This tells you how many draft revisions the AI has produced so far.

Click any card to open that session’s workspace.

Deleting a session

To delete a session, hover over its card and click the trash icon that appears. You’ll be asked to confirm before anything is removed. Deleting a session is permanent — all chat history, drafts, and generated images associated with it will be lost.
