Notifications

Hot Metal sends email notifications to keep you informed about important events — new content ideas, drafts that are ready, published posts, and reader comments. You can turn each notification type on or off individually.

Managing your preferences

1. Go to Settings and scroll down to the Notifications section.
2. You will see a toggle switch for each notification type.
3. Click a toggle to turn that notification on or off. Changes save immediately.

Notification types

Notification	What it means
New ideas found	The Content Scout has discovered new content ideas for one of your publications.
Draft ready for review	An auto-generated draft has been written and is waiting for you to review it.
Post auto-published	A post has been automatically published to your blog.
New comment	A reader left a comment on one of your published posts.

Defaults

All notification types are enabled by default when you create your account. You can disable any of them at any time.

Delivery

All notifications are delivered by email to the address associated with your Hot Metal account. There are no in-app notifications at this time.
